The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires we disclose relationships we have between product manufacturers or service providers when we write a review about a service or product. The following are the guidelines we operate under at WhyEnhance.com. We do not get paid to write reviews, nor do we accept money to review products or services. We invest our own time to review and test products. We often do not pay for products that we test. They are usually sent to us by the manufacturer. We rarely request a product. In most cases, the manufacturer approaches us first through e-mail. If we feel that the products they offer are beneficial, we ask they send the products. Products are not returned after use. Often times, they are used up or destroyed. Other times, they may get damaged during testing. If we create a link to a product in a review, we get paid a commission if the product or service is purchased. If there is no link to the product, then we do not get paid for that product. WhyEnhance.com finds that it is important for the consumer to understand the relationship between a Web site reviewing a product and the manufacturer or service provider. If you do not see a disclosure policy as part of a product review, that reviewer may be violating the law.
